Sportconnexions organizes sports competitions at affiliated clubs and associations. Below, you will find our terms, conditions, and privacy policy.

Definitions

  • Sportconnexions: A Netherlands-based company, registered with the Chamber of Commerce under number 53574516, VAT number NL001597126B78.
  • Club: An organization providing sports facilities and services to members.
  • User: An individual utilizing Sportconnexions' services.
  • Player: A user participating in competitions or tournaments organized by Sportconnexions.
  • Service: The online platform connecting players of similar skill levels for matches at affiliated clubs.
  • Site: The website sportconnexions.com and any associated domains hosting Sportconnexions services.

Privacy Policy

We are committed to protecting user privacy. Collected data is used solely for organizing competitions and facilitating player communication. Stored information includes:

  • Name, gender, language, email, phone number
  • Playing level, preferred play frequency, availability
  • Match results and performance ratings

We use cookies for user identification and geolocation technology (via IP or mobile) to recommend relevant clubs. Data is retained for five years after a user's last activity. After this period, all data except the user’s name is deleted to preserve competition history.

Data Visibility & Sharing

  • All data except email and phone number is publicly visible on the site.
  • Match results, names, and profile pictures may be displayed online and in club promotions.
  • You may choose to not display your full name or profile picture. For example, Roger Federer can register as Roger F.
  • Your email and phone number are only shared with other users when matched for a match or upon your explicit request to share your contact details with a specific user.
  • Your email address is shared with the club organizing a league or tournament if participation requires club membership.

User Communication & Account Management

  • Users may receive emails while their profile is active.
  • Profiles can be deleted at any time.
  • Sportconnexions reserves the right to remove accounts due to prolonged inactivity, at a club's request, or under specific circumstances.

Commercial Terms

For Players

  • This service is free for players. We don't charge players a subscription or platform fee.
  • A club may charge an entry fee for a league, ladder or event. The club sets the amount, and you see it before you pay.
  • When you pay a fee, you buy from the club. ClubMatch provides the platform, and payments are processed by a payment processor on behalf of the club.
  • League entry fees are paid once and are non-refundable, unless the club decides otherwise.
  • Event fees and refund conditions are set by the organizer and shown on the event page.
  • Questions about fees, refunds or invoices go to the club.
  • Membership, court access and facility use are arranged directly with the club and are not part of this service.

for Clubs

  • Clubs pay Sportconnexions an annual service fee for organizing leagues, tournaments and matches.
  • Clubs pay Sportsconnexions a transaction fee per participant for tournaments with integrated online payments.
  • Late or failed payments may result in service discontinuation.
  • Clubs can cancel at any time, but refunds are not issued upon termination.

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

Sportconnexions complies with the GDPR as a European Union-based company. Privacy or GDPR-related inquiries can be directed to info@sportconnexions.com.

Legal Terms

  • Sportconnexions is not liable for any damages related to the Service.
  • We disclaim liability for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, property, or third-party claims arising from site use.
  • Sportconnexions is not responsible or liable for any injuries, accidents, or health-related issues that occur while participating in matches, competitions, or tournaments organized through our platform.
  • Participation in any match or tournament is at the player’s own risk. Players are responsible for assessing their own fitness and taking appropriate precautions.
  • Content is subject to change without notice.
  • Terms and conditions may be amended at any time, with changes taking effect immediately upon posting.
  • The laws of the Netherlands govern the use of the Service.
